Frankinstorm!
Sandy, oh sandy...what have you done?! We were incredible lucky. We escaped uninjured! Unless cabin fever counts?!
We have been off work and out of school for 2 days now. The anticipation seriously almost killed me. Wow..what a build up. I was very relieved to wake up this morning to my lights working, and we are unharmed. Sadly, many, many people and friends are not saying the same. My heart and prayers go out to them!
We cooked, we cleaned, we watched a whole bunch of TV, we did alot of Facebook and Pinterest, we crafted, we played games, we drank wine and we ate some more! In serious need of a run!!! I am terrified what a bad winter looks like here because cabin fever is just not my thing... Next time you can find me at the loony bin.

Lady Luck.
This weekend I attended a charity bingo night. I won at bingo and I won 2 raffles! So fun and exciting-I was on
cloud nine! While my luck was HOT Corey and knew just where we needed to go... More on this shortly...
Corey starts a new job tomorrow so he took a day off today so we could just hang out. A date? Yes, please.
We started off our date with a hike. Seriously, the foliage in Maryland is breath taking! When I got to the top and looked over at the view I just stood in pure amazement at God's masterpiece! Perfection at its best.
Then we headed to CHARLES TOWN!!! It's a casino that's about 20 minutes from our house. I am not a big gambler... I work WAY too stinkin' hard to blow money like that. As my Siti would say "scared money never wins".. Well mine is always scared... So you know what the verdict usually is... But not today! I won $25 on a mermaid slot... Oh yeah! And Corey won a bit at roulette.. We left up.. For once. Not millionaires but a fun date that we actually made money.
It's a good day.. And a Monday at that!

Headband madness!
As you can see from our pictures Annabelle digs a headband! Needless to say she has a ton... Thrown and found just about everywhere in the house. Corey suggested I go to Pinterest to find something to collect them on...well ok! I of course found an idea... So simple! All you need is an oatmeal container, some fabric, a glue gun and some frills! WaLa!
