NEVER a let down!

Corey and I enjoyed a AMAZING lunch at Chef Point.  If you haven't been to this place you must go!  It is a restaurant in gas station quite literally but seriously could be the best food I ever ate!  We have been here 3 or 4 times and I have got something different every time but each was equally fabulous!  Not to mention the bread pudding...I do not typically like bread pudding but this stuff...Holy Cow..simply divine!  While I am on the subject did you know stressed backwards is desserts?  Duh? the cure for all stress...

Bargain alert!

Yesterday at Wal Mart I found a deal that I am giddy about!  I love the feeling of a good deal...the rush, the excitement- shopaholic?  maybe so?  I got all this stuff... 2 boy Valentine card sets, 2 girl Valentine card sets, 3 sets of goodies bags, and 4 stuffed puppies for...wait for it....wait for it....

$1.19

So get out there...they had basket after basket of this stuff!  It's greatness.  Now if I can just locate the stuff next year...heck even if I can't the rush was worth more than that.

Part TWO to a Bizzarre Day...

This afternoon we went to another park to feed some ducks.  While we are feeding the ducks an elderly man walks up to us and says.. "you know bread makes ducks sick, my daughter is a vet and one time when I was feeding them popcorn my daughter got furious because she said it clogs their trachea and gives them diarrhea", hummm...I thought...sounds violent!  I am not even going to argue with this man considering he was old and we were feeding them bread NOT popcorn, oh yeah and doesn't duck poo always have the consistency of diarrhea...that's where we get the expression "shit like a goose".  Anyway..I asked Jaxson to please hold back the bread while the man was there to avoid another confrontation.  As soon as he left we went back to what was suppose to be a peaceful time instead of massacre.  So then...we are again enjoying our afternoon and Jaxson jumps up from some dirt hes diggin' in and sees what appears to be a goat..on a leach.  My friend Randi sat in disbelief that we would get close to the thing but when you have a 4 year old you have to investigate...so we did.  Turned out it was a sheep..on a leach ..at the park ...with an owner as weird as the situation itself.

So finally I must get to something VERY bizarre...info I just found out on this bizarre day...

I MADE THE DEAN's LIST!  OMG!
I MADE THE DEAN's LIST...
I have never considered myself a good student so this is VERY exciting!

Very exciting day...great for blog material I must say!

Bizarre Behavior!

I have finally stopped shaking enough to write about a bizarre incident that happen at the park this morning.  A couple friends and I met up at the park with all our kiddos, they were running freely having a great time.  The older boys were playing imagination with sticks.  Then it happen...Jaxson collided with a small boy and ACCIDENTALLY scratched his (the boy) face with his stick.  Jaxson immediately apologized and I ran over to do the same.  Between the 2 of us we apologized about 20 times as the mother just glared at us.  I eventually walked away, it appeared that the boy was fine- just a little scratch (which can be expected from time to time with children...right?).  Well a few minutes passed of this mother caressing this scratch and eventually she makes her way over to where we are chatting.  She says to me "is that your son?  he hurt my son".  I said "yes, I realize that and I am sorry and so is he- it was an accident."  so she proceeds to ask what am I going to do about this?  I told her "well accidents happen and I am sorry ...I am not sure what you want me to do?"  She insists on me giving her my cell number in which I absolutely would not do- I am pretty sure the women belong in the loony bin because she just kept on, and on, and on, and on.  I told her if she thought it was that serious she was welcome to call 911 and I would be happy to wait (knowing how hysterical this situation would sound to a cop or even better and ambulance).  In the middle of all this one of my friend Annie's kids fell and scratched his knee which was worse of a cut than the one we are arguing over (Levi however jumped up and went on his way).  But Annie the thinkin' girl she is went to her car and got a first aid packet for Levi and offered it to this crazy lady as well.  But now way..she just kept caressing the scratch with her bare nasty ass hand that had been at the park all morning (real smart..huh?).  So we moved and she followed us and we moved and she glared at us a while longer.  Then they proceeded to leave ...BUT first she went over to my car and took a picture shouting "I remember you, I remember you!" and then she took a picture of me as well.
Once they FINALLY left, the three of us set there and shock!  Seriously??  Kids are kids.  Get a grip lady!
I am very thankful I was with these 2 precious mommies because had it been my husband or dad...well...lets just not go there.

Wuve, sweet wuuuve.

Wow a hallmark holiday much?  I think so!  But I love holidays so who cares!  Last night around 10pm when this old lady was about to crawl into bed I realized..."crap, I forgot to do the kids Valentines cards"...so there I sat writing out a bunch of cards for a bunch of toddlers that have no clue what is going on.  But I did because it's fun!  Then this morning my precious cousin sends me a picture of her precious daughter and there I am again "crap...I meant to take a picture of my sweet valentines"...then I thought I'd give myself a break and pat myself on the back because I got 2 kids, 2 lunches, 2 napmats, 2 boxes of cards, class snacks, teacher gifts to school only one minute late today...oh and Franny (Annabelle's baby...must. take. Franny.)  So if I'm lucky I can get a picture of my funny valentine's before the day is done...

In the meantime...I have to say...

Corey Wheat- I love you more than cake!  You are my world, my everything!  Thanks for being THE greatest husband and daddy!  Happy Love Day!  You turn my gray sky blue!!
XOXO, Me

and Happy Love Day to all you pretties in my life!

Teacher's Pet

Sweet Valentine's teacher gift idea...thanks to my sister in law for reminding me of the greatness of familyfun.com.  Jaxson + Annabelle's sweet little hand cut outs on anti bacterial soap. They say "Ms.___, You deserve a hand!"  Corey thought it was a little corny ...I think it's stinkin' cute.  I wish I could give these teachers a million and one dollars... they are pure greatness!  They love what they do and we love them!!!

Ooo la la!

I participated in another swap...this was hosted by Marvelous Meredith (yes, the one I stalk and don't know her outside of the cyber world :)  This time it was nail polish.  Too fun.  I was paired with Heather from Maryland ...some of you know why this is a crazy coincidence.  Anyways...she did a great job picking colors...yes plural.  Very sweet, thank you Heather, thanks Meredith for hosting, and thanks Boo for the manicure/pedicure this weekend!  Can't wait for the next swap!

Cork it.

I often walk around craft stores/shows and say "I can do that myself", half the time I forget to do it and the other half -by the time I am done with the project I find I could have saved a few curse words and lots of time and patience...most the time it was just worth it to buy the damn thing at the craft show.  While shopping in Canton before Christmas (speaking of Canton..who wants to go in a couple month??) I saw something similar to the project below.  It is a cork board...an oh so cute one for an oh so cute lil girl that I adore!  Turned out pretty cute..don't ya think?

Happy Birthday, Sweet Jaycee!
Side note:  I also made the shirt...call me crafty.  :)

Wine not whine!

A couple friend and I were wondering aimlessly through World Market a few weeks ago and came up with a great idea for a Wine Night! Last night we pulled it off. The event was held at The Jesthers- lovely host and perfect setting! Everyone brought a bottle of wine...or 2 or 3 or 4. We had a fancy plan of which order to try and and which went good in this order and blah blah blah ..but when you get a bunch of strung out parents together for a wine night it was GO TIME...no time for shananagans...so it actually went like this...

20+ bottles on the table- you try. you like. you get your fancy phone out. you take a picture of what you like and you move on...bottle, after bottle, after bottle...oh yeah with cheese and a cracker thrown in there somewhere once you start feeling a little tipsy.

My personal favorites..
Good friends + wine = GREAT TIME!
