Who can resist a dip in the bay even when it is 60-ish degrees out and you are decked out in your nice clothes...not these kids! First it was the toes in, then it was the legs and then rest was history. Good times! Now just counting down the days until pneumonia hits our house...or was that an ol'wise tale??..I hope so.

A day in the life of me.
I saw a link up the other day that perked my interest. I always say I would love to be a fly on the wall.. I am always so curious what people do. I liked this link up because it kind of gives me a glimpse into others lives...and typical day.
So my day looks something like this..
6:30-7am wake up time, most days by a sweet angel face that creeped their way into my room during the night or early am. We often play a bit, talk a bit, and snuggle a bit. Then it's up and attam. I go down stairs to always find my coffee made by my super awesome husband who leaves the house between 5-6am daily. He is a morning person, I am not! I get breakfast for the kids, usually a breakfast bar and a glass of milk.. Unless there is leftover cake of some sort and we eat they instead! I then make lunches and check emails.
8am I shower and get ready, yell at my kids 3-4 times to get dressed.
8:30am we are at the bus stop, 8:35 the bus comes and us moms gossip a bit and then AB and I are on the road. She goes to pre-school and I go to work on the bus.
9:15-12pm- I work. For lunch, most days my dad and I have lunch together sometimes Corey joins.
1pm-I pick AB up at school. then go home and do paperwork, return calls, check email.. Work stuff. AB naps most the time but some days she'll just watch TV or play.
3:30 I get Jaxson off the bus, we go home get a snack, fight over homework and then the kids are out the door to play with neighbors. Somedays I play too but most days I take my work and sit on the patio to watch kids and Gossip some more with neighbors.
5pm- Corey gets home, I cook dinner. 6pm- we eat, always as a family! Very important y'all!! Corey cleans dishes and I do more laundry and just generally pick up. We do baths and stories.
7:45 I leave for my run so Corey and the kids can stick thier faces in front of the idiot box (aka TV). Corey will put the kids down.
9pm- Im back, I shower real quick and then I stick my face in the other idiot box(aka computer) I look at Facebook, Pinterest, and catch up on blogs all while Corey's face is still stuck to his box.
10:30pm we head to bed..
On any given day you can throw in a search furiously around the house for keys or a phone in which -oops were in my pocket the whole time. Or a gymnastic class or a bible study or a frisbee golf game.. Oh and Somewhere in there throw in 15 stops at a store for something I forgot to get or didn't get enough. But that pretty much sums up a day in the life of me.
Now you share! If you play, comment and leave your blog link so we can be a fly on your wall.

Beeps and Boops
A friend of mine introduced me to an app called 'Beep and Boops'. It has been a great tool for behavior with the kiddos. Go check it out.
Beeps are good, Boops are not and Boops cancel beeps. You can set goals and link your hubby on to your same system. My kids sure do jump when I threaten a boop! It's great because I always have my phone on me where other systems are not as accessible in the moment.
Go check it out.. Your welcome.
I'll leave you my beeps...sometimes Boops. ;)

The Paaaaarrrrty!
This year it was Yo, Ho, Ho style! Jaxson is totally into pirates right now. He has his treasure chest with a map and a compass, sometimes he even sports the eye patch and hat. Needless to say since he birthday was coming that would be the theme. I was not going to have a party this year. But if you know anything about us you know we love a great party and last week I did not want to go throught with no party. So I quickly scrounged this one together. It was suppose to be small...Ha! We are from Texas nothing we do is small! Everything is bigger...right?! So 40 people later (25 of those being kids)...
We pulled off an Yo, Ho, Ho of a good time!

Corey and I built a pirate ship..too fun! It looked much bigger at 11pm in our living room. It was a huge hit though!

Happy Birthday, lil Dude!
Seriously?! 6 years old?! How does that happen? He is still as cuddly and sweet as we was the first day I met him.
Jaxson- you are everything I ever wished for and more! You are compassionate and a born leader but you are not overwhelming. you know just how far you can take it in any situation! You adore your sister and that just melts my heart. You are so good with younger kids even if they annoy you. You are a good student, and you are very smart. You love to read and play with Lego's. You shock us with your drawings. You like to dance and you know every word to every song even the bad ones. I love the smirk you give when you sing one of those bad lines in a song (like "rock n'roll bootie"). You are super cool but you are not afraid to kiss your momma in front of your friends ...yet. I just love every inch of you to death! Stay cool lil dude!

Taste the rainbow.
The object of the game is COLOR. It's the DC Color Run. The run that sells out in minutes, Lauren and I were VIP this year as we worked the registration desk yesterday we were able to get our hot hands on 2 bibs to run today's race. Super Duper FUN! So you wear white, you run a 5k and at 6 different zones they throw color on you. Then at the end you get your very own package of color goodness to throw at the "Color Fest" after the race. So stinkin' fun. Jaxson was eager at the finish to join the fest...the boy excites at any opportunity to get dirty. At one point he literally rolled in the street where there was left over color. Either I do actual bleed blue (Go Cowboys!), or maybe thats just left over blue corn startch in my ears and nose.
The fan club. Corey and AB didn't want any part of the messiness as you can see they are both sitting pretty.

Day dreamer...
Annabelle and I had the week off last week...shhhh, don't tell the boys. She had her first day "back to school" yesterday. While lil miss thang refused a picture with her back pack packed in front of her chalkboard sign, I thankfully did have the camera ready for this sight. She goes to school from 9-1pm which is a little past her nap time apparently. Oh my...would you just look at that face...I could eat it off! Man she is sweet when she sleeps.
Sandy toes & salty kisses.
Life is just better at the beach! To close out a fast and furious summer we headed to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware for labor day weekend. Water, sand and good friend makes for a fabulous weekend! I actually almost cried when it was time to leave. I love the beach soooo much...I mean who doesn't? 3 days was hardly long enough.
"Mermaids on the shore grounds..
The Momma's.
The Blaszak's.
The Slapers...I mean Slopers.

Running is better at the beach!
Lauren and I accomplished another 5k.. This time at Rehoboth Beach,DE. We improved our time to a 10.10 mile but we didn't even get a t-shirt or a beer at the finish line. Boo!!
I'm sure the Color Run this Sunday will make up for that mess of a 5k.
